I am an ERYT 200 teacher having received my Hatha teacher training from Asheville Yoga Center (Asheville, NC) and my Kundalini Yoga Teacher training from Lighthouse Yoga (Washington, D.C.)  I am certified as a Y12SR (yoga for addiction recovery)  leader, and a Reiki Level 2 attuned practitioner.  I believe in the healing power of a yogic path!I practice what I teach -the styes of Vinyasa flow (a flowing sequence of linked postures- breath is linked to movement), Kundalini (the yoga of awareness), and Yin Yoga (long passive holds).

My teaching style is very easy-going and playful and I provide A LOT of explanation.  I love welcoming those new to the yoga practice because I know that there are many pretenses out there about what yoga is and is not. I aim to dispel those and to meet you where you are on your yogic journey. Every class weaves yoga philosophy and spiritual principles as well as a strong focus on meditation and breath-work.

In addition to my role as yoga teacher, I am a certified holistic life and recovery coach.

Yoga has been the most influential practice in transforming my life as it addresses my physical body, my crazy mind chatter, helps regulate and work with my emotions, and provides a spiritual connection that is all my own.

I endeavor to create an environment where you can explore yourself and connect via a yoga practice. I love working with individuals 1:1 or facilitating your practice in our weekly group classes.  I look forward to sharing space with you in the Clear Sphere.

I am 200 RYT certified by Kula Kamala Foundation, Reading PA. I teach a style of yoga, called kula-kamala-yoga, which is centered in awakening the heart chakra, is spiritually uplifting, therapeutically oriented and has a strong focus on alignment of body, mind and spirit. My classes are fun, focus on alignment, balance, movement/breath connection, and meditation. My background in psychology lead to me to yoga as I sought out a method to help others in a way that truly works. I look forward to welcoming those new to yoga because I see the transformative nature of yoga and its power to heal physically, mentally and emotionally. Yoga is the essential part of my life that makes everything else more enjoyable. My philosophy is to live a life of service filled with love, compassion, movement and adventure. Currently, I am expanding my services as a holistic doula. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, freshwater swimming, mountain peaks and campfires. Please join me in the woods! I guide gentle, beginner, yin/yang, and yin classes. I am also available for private sessions. I am grateful to my teachers Sudha Allitt and Annelise Latini, their teachers and my future teachers.

I am a 200 RYT certified by Yoga Farm, Lansing NY. I teach a slower flow Vinyasa style class, that I hope is accessible to all levels of students. It is my belief that to be "good at yoga", you just have to show up. For me, yoga has been healing; physically, emotionally, and mentally; and the medicine works! The practice has brought me to a path in my life, for which I am eternally grateful, and I hope to share these practices with my students, so that they can take their yoga off of the mat, and into their every day lives. My background as an educator lead me to yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, and it is my hope that I can continue to share it with adults and children, to cultivate a more easeful way of navigating the world. My belief is that suffering is absolutely optional. I am grateful for my amazing instructors at Clear Sphere Yoga, whose encouragement and teachings resonated with me in a way, that led me to this path.

I’m Samantha, but everyone knows me as Sam. Interestingly enough, I was pretty resistant to yoga until about 6 years ago – mostly because I felt intimidated by the other students in class who I believed were much better than I was; students who had perfect bodies and flawless postures and could do every advanced modification out there. Eventually, though, I realized that yoga is not about how many crazy arm-balances you can do or how flexible you are! Yoga means learning about yourself and what you need or enjoy from each practice, and I try to emphasize that in every class I teach. Remembering the intimidation I used to feel, I always encourage you to do what you need to in order to personalize your practice and feel perfectly at home on your mat (and with yourself). That includes taking plenty of time to focus on your breath if you need it – I was trained in the Kripalu style of yoga, so breath and breathing exercises are a central part of my classes. I also appreciate the value of laughter, so don’t be surprised at the number of bad jokes I make while I teach. I look forward to having you in class! Namaste.
